South winds 25+ this morning, blown out and junky.... W 5-7ft @ 6- 9 sec's. Supposed to turn from the NW later 20+.

(I took the pictures before daylight) Went north for a look.... nada.....

Thursday: N wind 15 to 20 kt. wind waves 2 ft. NW swell 10 ft at 11
seconds. patchy fog in the morning.
Friday: NW wind 15 kt. gusts up to 25 kt in the afternoon. wind
waves 2 ft ... building to 4 ft in the afternoon. NW swell 8 ft.
Saturday: N wind 20 to 25 kt with gusts to 30 kt. wind waves 5 ft.
NW swell 9 ft.
Sunday: N wind 15 to 20 kt with gusts to 25 kt. wind waves 4 ft.
NW swell 7 ft.

Lessons / Clinic's

If you really want to learn to surf, and want more than a social event........ then, we suggests you book a private lesson, back to back.... ie;

Day 1, private lesson with equipment for 24 hours would cost $75 plus $40 for equip., Total, $115

Lesson is 2 1/2 -3 hrs.

Day 2, private " intermediate" lesson, cost $75.....

Total Cost for 2 days of private lessons with equipment : $190

Compare that price to a group "clinic"!

And, you are getting lessons from a trained instructor, not just a surfer "who can teach you to surf".....

And, to top that! We will only work with a ratio of 3:1, so if you have a group of 3 people, the cost would be reduced....

Per person cost per lesson with 2 people would be

$62.50 each, with 3 people cost per lesson per person would be $50!

All of our instructors are trained professionally by Surf City Surf School; Kim Hamrock; Owner.

We've been providing lessons year round (depending on weather and surf conditions) for 8 years! Safety for the students and instructors are our #1 priority.

Our instructors and staff are all long time Cannon Beach residents and are very knowledgeable of the local surf and beach conditions. If you want to LEARN TO SURF, and not just looking for a social time at the beach, then we suggest you book 2 lessons back to back; Day 1- Beginner lesson for one person $75 plus $40 for 24 hour equipment rental = $115, Day 2 intermediate lesson for one person $75, total cost for private lesson $190!

Total Cost for 2 people would be $165, and for 3 people would be $140! Our maximum student to instructor ratio is 3:1
